Parent Cyber Safety Education

In Term 4, the school is offering parents with children  enrolled at Attadale PS the opportunity to attend a ‘YSafe’ Cyber Safety parent session.  This parent session will cover topics such as social media platforms and what you need to know about the apps your children are using, gaming and screen time, and how to set up a cyber safe home using step-by-step instructions along with other topics.
This parent session will take place on Wednesday 21st October from 6pm and last between 60-90 minutes.  In order to secure your place, please register your attendance using this Eventbrite link: .  Due to Phase 4 Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a limit on how many parents can attend and we will notify you closer to the time of which room when we have an idea of how many parents attending.
Students from Kindergarten to Year 6 will participate in ‘ YSafe’  student workshops throughout the school day on Wednesday October 21st.  A staff session has been arranged for after school, with the parent session following at 6pm.   More information can be found on the ‘YSafe’ website.
In addition, Mr Perera will be working with all classes from Year 1 to Year 6 on identifying what bullying and cyber bullying is, learning how to respond in and to situations.  Sessions with Mr Perera will commence at the start of next term. Teachers regularly cover and teach this topic throughout the year to their students.
