Visitors on Department of Education school sites
As you will be aware, from 5 December 2020, particular businesses must maintain contact registers. Contact registers will enable the WA Health Contact Team to quickly identify and assist anyone that may have been exposed to COVID-19.
As per advice provided through the COVID-19 update on 26 November, school sites are not required to maintain a contact register.
2020/21 COVID-19 preparedness
We have had extra cleaning throughout a lot of 2020 due to COVID-19. .
Acknowledging ongoing day cleaning and good hygiene practices remain a priority in 2021, schools have been made aware there will be resources to continue the COVID-19 cleaning in in 2021 and we are prepared by having a cleaning staff and hand hygiene products in supply. We will continue to monitor this situation.
Update: Travellers from interstate
Travel from Victoria and New South Wales into WA is now classified as ‘very low risk’ – travellers from very low risk states and territories are not required to quarantine. From 12.01am, Friday 11 December 2020, and subject to no further outbreaks, South Australia (currently
‘medium risk’) will move to ‘low risk’ – travellers from low risk states and territories must quarantine in a suitable premises for 14 days.
